PostSubject: Help with shakes   Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:00 am

Hello everyone :D
So I am making a new amv and its going good I guess but I have a serious problem with my shakes. For some reason no matter how much I try to make them fit with the song they just end up like shit...no sync at all...it just looks bad..very bad...so I was wondering if anyone knows some tips or something like that and wants to share to make shakes at least look better and not like complete crap...

i'm not that much of an experienced editor but what i do is shaking the screen 1-2 frames before and 3-4 frames after the beat's frame (depends on the type of each beat) :) addind blurs/flashes will give a lot more impact combined with that shake

Feel the song and do the shakes after :p Also use smooth fast or slow it helps you can use four keyframes slow and then a fast shake and it will be good if the song has strong beat or something! The tolalvkeyframes of a shake depend of the song but i thing it cant be les than 5 (i am bad at shakes too and pan crop generaly but i try to get better at it cause it's a key to make a good amv) I hope my English don't suck too much so you can understand me :p Also on sao my latest amv (coming soon :D) i used pan a crop but still it wasn't that good and not enough i think :(

@Aono i don't think that changing keyframe's mode to smooth/slow/fast will do that much of a difference.. i mean it's only for 5 frames.. what can make that much difference when you just happen to "notice" it
